A HAWK signal, or High-intensity Activated crossWalK, is a pushbutton-activated pedestrian signal. The signal is being installed at the intersection of Lomas Blvd NE and Alvarado Dr. This type of signal provides a safer way for pedestrians and bicyclists to cross busy streets while reducing the amount of delay for vehicles. This week the Fair West neighborhood received a Little Free Library at the West entrance to Fox Park. The Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. The library is filled with books for all ages so please check it out.
