State Fair Traffic/Parking Concerns Facilitated Meeting #2

Please join us for the second facilitated meeting regarding State Fair-related traffic issues in the Fair West Neighborhood. View 4/9 Meeting Agenda (PDF)

Tuesday, April 9th 6:30PM – 8:30PM at the EXPO NM Alice K. Hoppes African American Pavilion, (free parking, enter gate 3 off Copper and proceed east) SEE MAP.

There were a number of issues concerning parking in the Fair West Neighborhood during the 2018 NM State Fair. FWNA has asked the Office of Neighborhood Coordination to facilitate a meeting to hear neighbors concerns so we can try to find viable solutions to this problem. Goals for meeting #2:

  • Hear feedback from CABQ Department of Municipal Development (DMD) and APD representatives regarding proposed remedies (from meeting #1 held 1/31/19) to what didn’t work well with 2018 State Fair traffic and parking in the Fair West neighborhood. Note: State Fair representatives will be unable to attend this meeting due to scheduling conflicts, however we agreed that after we hear from DMD & APD on April 9th, the facilitator will ask meeting participants if they have any requests of the State Fair regarding traffic and parking remedies for the 2019 Fair. The facilitator will include any requests in the meeting report, and we will hear feedback on those in meeting #3.
  • Begin to develop an action plan for our work together to address and resolve traffic and parking issues for the 2019 State Fair and beyond.

Important: If you plan to attend, please RSVP to the facilitator so she can prepare accordingly – Kathleen Oweegon –, (505) 242-6141

We hope to see you there!
